Overview
Labric builds the missing layer for scientific research. We connect instruments, spreadsheets, and other data sources to a central platform, transforming data into useful visualizations and metrics.
As a Design Intern, you'll shape how scientists interact with complex data. You'll work closely with engineers and customers to design tools that make lab data accessible and actionable — and learn what it takes to ship design at an early-stage startup.
The work
- Design interfaces for data visualization, workflow management, and analytical tools
- Create mockups, prototypes, and design systems
- Conduct user research with scientists and lab teams
- Collaborate with engineers to ship and refine designs
You
- Pursuing a degree in Design, HCI, or related field (graduating 2026 or later)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX work
- Proficient with Figma or similar design tools
- Clear communicator who can present design rationale
- Curious about science and how labs actually operate
- [optional] Experience with data-heavy applications, HTML/CSS, or data visualization
